What Kind of Student takes Gilding Workshops?
Students range from professionals in the field, professionals in an unrelated
field, to interested amateurs. All kinds are welcome. Even if you have never
seen a piece of gold leaf, much less handled one, you will have some kind
of experience to bring to the class. Everybody does. Students learn from
each other, and from each others unique talents. The job of the teacher
is to bring out these talents, and to teach techniques. Our small groups
facilitate a friendly and encouraging atmosphere, where creativity can be
given full rein.
