For a dramatic effect panels of glass can be used to line the walls of rooms. This works especially well for small, intimate spaces, such as powder rooms or bathrooms. On this page are examples of painting and gilding on glass in several different styles. All panels are 2' x 6' in size. They are carried out with the same techniques as other work you will see on the website, namely with gold leaf and paint.

"Forest Panels"
Three panles that are to be made into a screen. They are in Art Deco style, and were done for the Decorex stand. I used lots of brght gold and strong colours, and they were done in a very painterly style.

"Tiles with Animals and Flowers"
Taken from English 17th century design seen used as borders. Arranged as a 'faux' set of tiles, with a gold border for grouting. This is classic verre églomisé technique with engraved gold leaf backed with a dark color to show the drawing, and the whole backed with lighter colours, distressed to appear as if it is old tile.
